A Winning Attitude To Failure
A winning attitude to failure
There are plenty of people who will tell you that success- in business or in your professional life is often preceded by failure .
Most of us have heard that we need to fail to succeed, because failure is one of the greatest teacher .
But what one often neglects to mention is that what kind of mindset enables you to push yourself to success.
1. Be focused on helping others ;
If you look around ,the world's most long lasting and successful companies all focus on offering a solution to our every day problems . Now you don't have to be solving your company 's problem or at the every least ,take the load off your team .
It sounds obvious and yet we all tend to have the "I" syndrome instead of focusing on the people we want to help .
When you genuinely help others that's when more opportunities for success open up .
2. Know the worth of what you are doing ;
In the early years of startup you may burn through a large reserve of your savings but still be unable to pay salaries . At such times you may be tempted to take up investment offers despite the low valuation being offered .
Don't let these setbacks take you off track . If you have a game changing product or solution , believe in it . It is important to understand the worth and accept offers that reflect your values .
3. Let go of your ego ;
Too many entrepreneurs remain paralyzed with the fear of releasing something early because it's not prefect or they think they are making wrong decision . This fear stems from your ego _ of being afraid to make mistake and possibly looking silly . But if you spend so much of your time and energy trying to protect your ego ,you would be less able to feel enough self compassion for yourself to help you learn and recover from failures.
Understand that your ego simply gets in your way and by letting go of it you can face your flaws and mistakes head on .
4. Change what you believe is possible ;
How many times have you said to yourself " ,No ,this is not possible ". You have not only figured it out ,but also discovered that there is a joy in being able to do things you thought impossible.
This is the power of what you tell yourself . If you constantly tell yourself that something is not possible or that you can't do something you will believe it . This is a self limiting belief .
The next you catch your self saying that you can't do something ask yourself: can you really not ? Try it you way surprise yourself ....
